Sakarya University Free Shop Project

SESAM, continuing a project will be an example to Turkey for 2 years. Students, who wish, can obtain a lot of items, from clothes to kitchenware, free of charge from the shop opened within the scope of the project.

"Free Shop" store continues to serve on the ground floor of the building next to the Central Cafeteria with its new face after the arrangements made. Created on the basis of sharing, the project is carried out on the basis of volunteering by the academic administrative staff of the university and the students.

Within the scope of the project, the surplus products in a wide range of areas from clothes to kitchenware, toys to home decoration, stationery products to jewelry are left to Free Shop by donors. On the other hand, students who are in need or deprivation can go to Free Shop and get what they need without the supervision of any official.

Since the project is carried out entirely on a voluntary basis, some academicians, administrative staff or students place the items that they or those around them do not use, cleaned and labeled and then placed on the shelves of Free Shop.
