RS-BSC – Rural Sustainability Balanced Scorecard

RS-BSC – Rural Sustainability Balanced Scorecard is a research project supported under TÜBİTAK’s 3005 programme, focusing on the development of an adaptable strategic management model for sustainable rural development. Led by Sakarya University, the project adapts the Balanced Scorecard approach to the economic, social, environmental, and governance dynamics of rural areas, enabling local governments to establish strategic objectives and monitor measurable performance indicators. The project brings together stakeholder consultations, needs assessment, participatory workshops, model development, pilot implementation, evaluation, and the preparation of a practical implementation guide for rural areas. The resulting RS-BSC framework is designed to support evidence-based and participatory rural governance and to provide local administrations with a systematic tool for planning, implementing, and evaluating sustainable rural development strategies
