The press launch of the final report of the Pre-COP31 Needs Assessment Workshop, organised within the scope of the GreenSTEM Project, was held at MÜSİAD Sakarya Branch.
The event was attended by Prof. Dr. Özer Köseoğlu, Vice-Rector of Sakarya University; Ahmet Cihan, President of MÜSİAD Sakarya Branch; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ümmügülsüm Zor, Director of the Sakarya Economic and Social Research Center (SESAM); Dr. Osman Eminler, Vice-President of MÜSİAD Sakarya Branch; and Dr. Akın Özdemir, Deputy Director of SESAM.
During the press launch, the objectives of the GreenSTEM Project and the findings of the Pre-COP31 Needs Assessment Workshop were presented to members of the press. Key topics addressed included the green and circular economy, sustainable entrepreneurship, green skills development, and strengthening university–industry collaboration.
The workshop's final report is expected to contribute to ongoing efforts to identify the skills needed for the green transition, strengthen STEM capacity, and support the development of a sustainable entrepreneurship ecosystem.
