Sakarya University continues to increase its effectiveness in global research networks. Associate Professor Dr. ÜmmüGülsüm ZOR, Director of the Sakarya Economic and Social Research Centre (SESAM), represented our university on the international stage by participating in the “Horizon Europe Cluster 6” Information Days organised by the European Commission in Brussels on January 22-23, 2026.
Strategic Engagements with Europe
At the event, which addressed the 2026 calls in critical areas such as food, agriculture, and the environment, Assoc. Prof. Dr ZOR conveyed the scientific potential of Sakarya University to European stakeholders and established new bridges for cooperation. During the hybrid event, strategic contacts were made to secure our university's participation as a leader or partner in international consortia.
Goal: Active Role in Global Projects
This participation reinforced Sakarya University's vision of being influential not only locally but also globally in environmental and bioeconomy projects. It is intended that the studies carried out through SESAM will increase our university's participation in international projects and enhance its academic prestige.
