An Important Step for Sustainable Development

The "Sustainable Rural Development Workshop," hosted by the Pamukova Municipality, was held with the participation of academics, institutional representatives, and producers. The workshop addressed the district's agricultural production capacity, risk management, and sustainable development goals.

The program was attended by Pamukova District Governor Gürsel Temurci, Mayor Fatih Akın, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ümmügülsüm Zor from Sakarya University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Adem Akbıyık, Res. Asst. Dr. Akın Özdemir, and other academics, as well as Chamber of Agriculture President Yaşar Ulukaya, PAYDER President Abdullah Özçelik, District Director of Agriculture Fatih Ballıca, and numerous producers.

The participants addressed the district's current agricultural problems and development opportunities, presenting solution-oriented proposals.

Connection Goal: Efficient and Sustainable Agriculture
Pamukova Mayor Fatih Akın stated that the primary objective of the workshop was to more effectively utilize the district's strong agricultural potential. Akın emphasized the need to take preventive steps against production risks, increase support for farmers, and expand modern agricultural practices.

The workshop concluded with a consensus that Pamukova's fertile soils should be evaluated using scientific methods, educational programs should be expanded, and the rural development strategy should be strengthened.

Pamukova Municipality announced that it will continue its work with the vision of "A Pamukova that develops through production and grows together."
